Lighting Study 01: The Belfry Maya, mental ray, Photoshop April 2009
This is a recent R&D of lighting in Maya and Mental Ray. The main idea was comparing two different approaches to lighting - with and without global illumination/final gather.
This particular scene was lit using only lights and shadow maps, only the sunlight uses raytraced shadows.
